Standard and Poor’s confirm Tasmania is in recession

Standard and Poor’s have confirmed what many Tasmanians have known for a long-time, Tasmania is in a recession.

Under Labor and the Greens, Tasmania’s economy has tanked and 10,000 full time jobs have disappeared.

No doubt Lara Giddings will cling to this report as somehow vindicating her appalling budget mismanagement, but if she does that, then she also needs to accept Standard and Poor’s judgment about the State being in recession.

It says a lot about how desperate the Premier is when the lack of a downgrade, rather than an upgrade, is somehow regarded as good news.

Only the Liberals can provide the stable majority Government that Tasmania needs.  Only the Liberals have a plan to grow the economy and create jobs.
