Green's "joyous" claims an insult to thousands of sacked workers and regional communities

Thursday 29 August 2013

I’m disgusted that Bryan Green would call today a “joyous day for all” when he knows full well the social and economic damage that has been felt by those involved in the forestry industry.

Bryan Green made what will become a notorious comment during a Parliamentary debate to finalise the disastrous forestry deal.

The appalling forestry deal has cost thousands of people their jobs, businesses have gone broke, families are suffering and many have simply given up and moved interstate.

There is nothing joyous about this deal at all and Bryan Green should apologise to the thousands of people affected for his ridiculous and out of touch statement.
