Forest future up to the people

Wednesday 11 September 2013

Today’s protest and yesterday’s comments from Nick McKim, confirm what we’ve said all along, there will be no peace and the Greens will not be satisfied until they lock up all of Tasmania forever.

You can’t restart a war that hasn’t actually ended.

Unlike Labor, we won’t be bullied or blackmailed into signing away the future of our forestry industry, and the future of regional Tasmania.

Our forests are owned by the people of Tasmania, and it should be up to the people to decide how to use them, not unelected groups, and certainly not the UN.

A message was sent loud and clear on Saturday, it’s time Labor started listening.
