CH Smith redevelopment achieves important next step

5th September 2018

Launceston’s economy is growing and projects like the CH Smith redevelopment, the Launceston City Deal and the redevelopment of the Launceston General Hospital will make the State’s north an even better place to live, work and raise a family.

Today, another important achievement was completed in the CH Smith project with the handing over of the site’s rebuilt car park to the City of Launceston.

For too long the CH Smith was a blight on the Launceston community, having been left derelict for decades.

The CH Smith redevelopment has been a tremendous shot in the arm for the local economy and has boosted business confidence right across the region.

This important project, delivered through the involvement of the State Government with the City of Launceston and developed by Errol Stewart and Scott Curran, will further strengthen the North’s economy, as well as, deliver better services, and create more jobs.
